Loaders and wood grabbers are both heavy machinery used to move goods, but they have significant differences in function, structure, and application scenarios.

    1. Functional differences
Loader: Loader is a kind of earthwork construction machinery used in highway, railway, construction, hydropower, port, mine and other construction projects. It is mainly used for shoveling soil, sand, lime, coal and other loose materials, but also for ore, hard soil and other light shoveling operations. In addition, after the replacement of different auxiliary working devices, the loader can also carry out earth moving, lifting and other materials such as wood loading and unloading operations. In general, the loader has the advantages of fast working speed, high efficiency, good mobility, light operation, etc., is one of the main types of earthwork construction in engineering construction.
Wood grabber: A wood grabber is a machine specifically used to move wood, which usually consists of a boom with a rotating function and a jig. This machine can grab the wood and carry it to the destination, which is very suitable for forest harvesting, wood processing, wood loading and transportation. Compared with the loader, the function of the wood grabber is more focused on the handling and loading and unloading of wood.
    Second, structural differences
Loader: The loader usually uses a hydraulic system to control the movement of the bucket or fork, and its cab is located at the front of the machine, and the driver can control the movement of the machine through a joystick. The frame of the loader is hinged by two parts before and after, and the working mechanism is installed on the front frame, and the cab and engine are installed on the rear frame.
Wood grabber: The structure of the wood grabber is more focused on the design of its rotating boom and fixture. This machine usually has a long rotating boom that allows the timber to be moved flexibly from one place to another. At the same time, the design of the fixture is also very critical, it must be able to firmly grasp the wood to ensure that it will not be dropped or damaged during handling.
