Although both forklifts and pallet trucks belong to industrial transport vehicles, there are obvious differences in function, structure and use scenarios. Here are the main differences between them:

    Functional difference
Forklift truck: Forklift truck is a motor vehicle used for handling, forkloading, stacking and loading and unloading goods in industrial, warehousing, logistics and other occasions. It is capable of handling goods of various shapes and specifications, including different types of pallets, with a high degree of flexibility and carrying capacity. The working principle of forklift mainly relies on its unique gantry system and fork, which realizes the handling and stacking of goods through lifting, tilting and other actions.
Pallet truck: Pallet truck is a vehicle dedicated to transporting and handling pallet type goods. Its main function is to move pallets and their cargo from one place to another, usually without the ability to stack or load heavy loads. The use of pallet trucks is relatively simple, usually through the manual drive hydraulic system to achieve the lifting and lowering of pallet goods, and manually pulled to complete the handling operation.
    Structural difference
Forklifts: Forklifts typically have a complex construction, including two forks, a lifting mechanism, a cab (in some types), and drive and control systems. These components work together to enable the forklift to complete a variety of complex handling and stacking operations.
Pallet car: In contrast, the structure of the pallet car is relatively simple. It usually has only one shelf and four support wheels, as well as a hydraulic system for lifting and lowering pallet loads. The operator can push the pallet car through simple operation and place the pallet on the shelf.
    Usage scenario difference
Forklift truck: Forklift truck is suitable for carrying heavy goods of different types and shapes, especially in the occasions that need to lift and carry goods. For example, in large warehouses, logistics centers, production workshops and other environments, forklifts can play their advantages of flexibility and strong carrying capacity.
Pallet car: Pallet car is more suitable for small and medium-sized warehouses or relatively narrow places. In these environments, pallet trucks can easily handle pallet cargo and meet basic transportation needs.
In summary, although forklifts and pallet trucks are both industrial transport vehicles, there are significant differences in function, structure and use scenarios. The choice of vehicle depends on the specific operational requirements and environmental conditions.
